The Remnant |
In times past, God scattered the ten tribes for their disobedience and will regather their descendants again in these latter days, when their wholehearted desire will be to be obedient. Those of this lineal descent are being awakened and are searching for God's Truth whilst asking the way to Zion (Christ and the Holy Ghost) with their faces thitherward (see Jeremiah 50:5). They are Christians of Israelite descent.
What is their hope? Perhaps at this point of time it is not clear to them, but they know that they have an inward working inspired by God, compelling them to seek till they find complete satisfaction, and so end their restlessness. They know God is a personal God, a loving Father who is anxious to help His earthly children, and so they will continue to seek till they find the way, and that inner peace that belongs unto the Perfection of their whole being, through knowing His Will for Israel, and doing it (see Proverbs 12:28).
Members of the Christian Israelite Church have been given a pattern for advancement towards this goal; their Church has been given the "avenue", or way of approach. It is to make a Covenant with God (refer Isaiah 59:21), an actual commitment in which a person signifies his or her willingness to abide by His instructions, with His assistance, and ultimately have eternal LIFE take the place of death in their physical frames so that they then may become "temples" of the Living God, and be a Son of God, as Jesus is (see Jeremiah 31:31-34).
God, through the Power of His Two Immortal Spirits, can cause this to come to pass by removing mankind's inherent evil; He has designed it to happen, and it is His Will for 144,000 of the seed (remnant) of Israel. That is the significance of an "Israelite" Church. Its Message is not for the world as a whole, as is the Christian Message, but rather to seek out those who are predestinated for that Calling (see Romans 8:29).
Christian Israelites know that of themselves they cannot do the work of obedience God requires of them, but they believe God can do it in them, when they make the Covenant of Life with Him. Furthermore, by fervent prayer and close communion with Him, they may grow in the knowledge of the possession of it, thus showing their willing co-operation and desire to receive the Immortal Life He has to give (see John 17:14-18).
There is a physical life to be given, and there is also a spiritual life to be given from God. The spiritual life force emanates from God Himself; it knows no beginning of days, nor end of life. When Israel's physical bodies are cleansed of the evil, they will be changed, preserved and immortalised by God's effervescent life force filling the bodies of His people and changing them from mortal to immortal. Then will be manifested the Redemption of their spirits, souls and bodies to the honour and glory of His Holy Name (see 1 Corinthians 15:51-54; 1 Thessalonians 5:23).
The time fast approaches when the reign of sin and evil will be terminated and God's Glory will be seen here below (see Isaiah 25:8). His Kingdom of Righteousness and Peace will be established in each one who is prepared for that transformation. The Message is one of urgency, so make ready for the coming of the King. "Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby ye have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will ye die, O house of Israel? For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord God: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye" Ezekiel 18:31,32.
